I am a sister in a new and so far not widely recognized religious order. This came about as a combined result of praying for a new heart that enthrones God, a desire to serve, and a compulsion to rid my life of excess.
I wear grey or black leggings and either a grey, black, or red dress or long tunic. With this is a vest
or jacket with a hood. I wear a compass of some sort, either a pin or a pendant, and a metal bracelet to represent a manacle of service on my dominant hand. No matter what I am doing it reminds me
of my vocation because it gets a bit in the way!
I am not a nun because I am not enclosed and I am married. However, Companions vow Obedience to God as revealed by the Words of Christ, Self Reliance, Simplicity, and Chaste behaviour no matter our marital state (NOT the same as celibacy although celibacy is an option),
